What this service does
- Takes a legal document you upload (PDF, Word, or image).
- Uses an AI model to produce four views of the same content: a TL;DR summary, a clause-by-clause translation alongside the original text, a list of unusual or one-sided terms (red flags), and a chat where you can ask follow-up questions.
- Stores the document and result temporarily, then deletes them on a schedule (see Privacy).
What this service is not
- Not a law firm. No attorney-client relationship is formed by your use of legaltoplain.com.
- Not legal advice. The summaries are informational. They do not consider your specific circumstances and may not be accurate.
- Not a substitute for reading the original. AI can miss things, paraphrase incorrectly, or introduce errors. The original document is what you sign and what binds you.
- Not a guarantee of accuracy. Although we test the model against a curated set of documents on every prompt change, AI-generated text can be wrong.
